What is an Opportunity?

An opportunity is a potential sales deal or revenue-generating event. An opportunity can be with an existing organization or with a new organization. Within the pipeline, you can add opportunities to stages. Track your sales deals as they move through the pipeline. With the ability to create your own opportunities, you can add information that’s specific to that deal.

How to add new opportunities?

  1. In the CRM module, select Opportunities +
  2. Once expanded, add the details to the Opportunity
  3. Select Save

All fields with * are mandatory

How do you create and manage opportunity fields and sections?

  1. In the CRM module, select Settings
  2. In the menu on the left, choose Opportunity Fields
  3. Click the green + under the section you would like to add fields OR click the green + at the end of the page to add a new section
  4. Input the details for the field/section
  5. Select Save

How do I edit an opportunity record?

  1. Select Opportunities in the CRM module
  2. Click the action icon (•••) next to the Opportunity you would like to edit
  3. Select Edit Opportunity
  4. Once expanded, edit the details
  5. Select Save

*Clicking the X will close the pop-up and your changes will not be saved.

How can I turn on/off Opportunity Fields?

  1. In the CRM module, select Settings
  2. Select Opportunity Fields in the left menu bar
  3. To turn off a field, switch the toggle to the right of the field Off (green is on, and grey is off)

How many opportunities can be added?

  • There is no limit to the number of opportunities you can add

How can I filter an opportunity?

  1. In Opportunities select the Filters button on the left side of the window
  2. Filter by Close Date, Owner, Value, Product, Close Probability, Industry
  3. Once you have chosen your filters, select Apply Filters
  4. To clear filters, select Clear Filters

How to view tasks associated with an opportunity?

  1. In Opportunities, click on the Opportunity you’d like to view
  2. The Activity will show on the right side
  3. To view a task, click View Task
  4. Once expanded, you can edit the Due Date, Contact Name, Organization, Priority, Type, and Comments
  5. Select Save to close

What are the different views available in Opportunities?

The two different views are grid and list view.

  1. The Grid View allows the user to view which Opportunities appear in each Stage of the Sales Pipeline
    • To enable Grid View, click Grid Icon next to the Add Opportunity button on the top right of the page
  2. The List View allows the user to view a list of Opportunity Names, Contact, Organization, Expected Close Date, Contact Owner, and Proposal Amount
    • To enable List View, click List view Icon next to the Add Opportunity button on the top right of the page

How can I edit the Proposal Value?

  1. To begin, select your Opportunity
  2. Once selected, click the (•••) icon to the right of the Opportunity → Edit Opportunity
  3. Once expanded, you can edit the Proposal Value
  4. Select Save

How to move an Opportunity to a new Stage?

There are two ways to move an opportunity. The first way is to drag and drop the opportunity from one stage to the next on your sales pipeline. The second is to change the stage within the opportunity.

Drag and Drop

  1. Click and hold the Opportunity you'd like to move
  2. Drag it to the new Stage

Edit within Opportunity

  1. Select the Opportunity, click the (•••) icon Edit Opportunity
  2. Choose the new Stage in the field dropdown
  3. Click Save

How to add Industry and Company Size information to an Opportunity?

Industry and Company Size are pulled from the organization. In order for the opportunity report to include this information, you need to first add the information to the Organization.

To Add Information to an Organization

  1. In the CRM Module, select Organizations
  2. Search for the Organization you'd like to edit
  3. Click on the Organization name on the list
  4. Click (•••) → Manage Organization
  5. Add information for Industry and Company Size into the corresponding fields
  6. Click Save

Connect Organization Information to an Opportunity

Now that you have the information in the Organization, you need to connect the Organization to your Opportunity.

  1. In the CRM Module, select Opportunities
  2. Click on the Opportunity
  3. Click (•••) → Edit Opportunity
  4. Search for the Organization in the search field next to Organization
  5. Click that Organization on the search suggest list
  6. Click Save

*You can connect the Organization via the Contact or the Organization
